ATELIER is a Canadian upscale retail boutique that sells sustainable clothing and home decor made from environmentally-friendly printing techniques. The French word ‘atelier’ means a workshop or studio used by an artist or designer. The main goal of ATELIER is to elevate customers’ lifestyles by providing high-quality clothing and home decor products that ensure comfort, functionality, and longevity.




Brand Concept and Logo
The key words used to describe ATELIER’s brand concept are artful, sophisticated, and contemporary. With this in mind, the goal was a more sleek and minimalistic look as opposed to something more busy. The brand is also partly inspired by the Arts and Crafts Movement of the 1920s as an ode to early Canadian craftsmanship, incorporating batik and other hand-crafted print techniques.

The logo is sleek and elegant, and uses the typeface Goldenbook. The ‘A’ in the logo is configured with a leaf in its crossbar, representing the brand’s ties to nature and commitment to sustainability. The tagline of ATELIER is ‘Comfort by Nature’, which has a double meaning—it represents how their products are ethically made using environmentally-friendly printing techniques on all-natural fabrics, and how they provide comfort easily and naturally.
